WARNING: DISTRESSING IMAGES
These horrific photos show a man accused of being homosexual thrown from a roof to his death by Islamic State militants, it has been claimed.
In the latest barbaric execution by ISIS fighters, the series of shocking images appear to depict a blindfolded man being hurled from a tall building in what is believed to be Al-Furat Province, in Syria.
With a baying crowd gathered below, the victim can be seen with his hands tied behind his back before he is pushed to his death.
The images, which were purportedly captured and released by Islamic State on social media, were shared by terrorism watchdog group Terror Monitor on Twitter and have since gone viral.
According to the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, ISIS has executed up to 30 homosexuals since sweeping to power across large swathes of Syria and Iraq in 2014.
In Sharia Law, the charge of homosexuality is known as Liwat and, according to some interpretations of the Quran, is punishable by death.
