Not Only Are These Easter Eggs Delicious, They’re Also…Insanely Morbid

Netflix

Most people don”t know the origins of the Easter Bunny, and they may never figure it out, even around this time of year. However, they don”t let that get in way of their heroic consumption of Easter candy, namely chocolate eggs. (I love those things.)

However, after eating a few dozen chocolate eggs in the weeks leading up to and then after Easter, I find myself wondering if maybe I”m missing something. Could there be a more delicious holiday candy alternative to chocolate Easter eggs? Today, I”m proud to tell you about just that: chocolate egg death masks.

Yes, you read that correctly. Instead of being stamped with generic designs and pictures, these chocolate eggs are molded to be an exact replica of your face. Sort of like a milk chocolate death mask.

The eggs are created using high tech facial scanning and 3D printing technology.

The company, Bompas & Parr, analyzes your face with a high resolution scanner. They then create a jelly mold from the scans which can be used to create a chocolate egg with your face on it.

Some might think this is a very morbid way to celebrate Easter, but it”s a holiday that already celebrates life, death, and rebirth. In that context, these death mask chocolate eggs are actually surprisingly appropriate, not to mention delicious. Learn more at the Bompas & Parr website.
